Who we are
This website (futuristalab.io) is run by NEURÓNIO SELVAGEM — LABORATÓRIO DE IDEIAS, UNIPESSOAL LDA, trading as Futurista Lab, a company registered in Portugal with tax and registration number (NIPC) 519432959 and registered office at Rua Padre António Marques Freire 5, 3420-347 Tábua, Portugal. It is the controller of the personal data described in this policy. For any privacy question or request, write to hello@futuristalab.io.
What data we process
We keep this to a minimum. This website has no analytics, no cookies and no forms, and its fonts are hosted on the site itself.
We process only:
- Emails you send us. If you write to hello@futuristalab.io (for example, via the email link on this website), we receive your email address, your name if you include it, the content of your message, any attachments, and standard email metadata (such as date and headers).
- Technical hosting logs. When you visit the website, our hosting provider automatically records technical data needed to deliver and secure the site, such as your IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time of the request.
Apart from the technical data your browser sends when you visit the website (see "Technical hosting logs" above), you are not required to give us any personal data. If you choose to email us, we need your email address and message in order to reply.
Why we use it and on what legal basis
| Data | Purpose | Legal basis (GDPR) |
|---|---|---|
| Emails | To read and reply to your message and, if you ask us, to take steps before entering into a contract with you | Article 6(1)(b), where your message relates to a contract or to steps you request before one; otherwise Article 6(1)(f), our legitimate interest in answering the messages we receive |
| Hosting logs | To deliver the website, keep it secure and prevent abuse | Article 6(1)(f), our legitimate interest in running a secure website |
Use of AI tools for emails
Messages sent to us may be processed with AI tools from third-party providers, including providers in the United States, to help us read, organise and draft replies. Every reply is reviewed by a person before it is sent. We do not make decisions about you based solely on automated processing.
How long we keep it
- Emails: up to 24 months after our last contact with you. If we enter into a contract with you, we keep the relevant correspondence for the duration of that relationship and for as long as the law requires afterwards.
- Hosting logs: for a limited period set by our hosting provider.
Who processes data for us
We use the following service providers (processors), who act on our instructions:
- Vercel Inc. (US): website hosting and delivery.
- Zoho Corporation (US data centre): email hosting.
- AI assistant platform provider (US): AI-assisted reading and drafting of replies to emails, including the AI model providers that this platform uses.
We do not sell your personal data or share it with third parties for their own purposes.
International transfers
Some of these providers process data in the United States. Our website hosting provider is certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. For the other providers, we rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or other appropriate safeguards under Article 46 of the GDPR, as provided in their data processing terms. You can ask us for more information about these safeguards, or for a copy of them, at hello@futuristalab.io.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access your personal data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict its processing, to object to processing based on our legitimate interest, and to receive data you have given us in a portable format where this applies. To exercise any of these rights, email hello@futuristalab.io. We will reply within one month. Where a request is complex or we receive many requests, we may extend this by up to two further months; if so, we will tell you within one month, with the reasons.
Complaints
You can lodge a complaint with the Portuguese data protection authority, the Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados (CNPD): www.cnpd.pt. You may also complain to the supervisory authority in the EU country where you live or work.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will publish the updated version on this page and update the date above.
